This Sunday, we’ve got our first picnic in the park of the year!
Join us in Mesnes Park from 11:30am on Sunday 14th June for a lovely afternoon of community and connection. Meeting originally at the water fountain for 11:30am, then we will be on the field across from the playground. We’ll have our gazebos up (it feels nice to say that without the anxiety of it blowing away in torrential rain and wind, like every other time we’ve had one) so worry not, you’ll be able to spot us.
We absolutely love days like these, and even better… we are collaborating with Mothership, who are really looking forward to having a chat with many of you. A little quote from Jessie from Mothership, “There is a really powerful community kindness which is so touching and needed in Wigan.”
Come alone or bring some friends, either way, it’ll be a relaxing and welcoming environment.
Refreshments and food will be provided. Games for the little ones, bubbles, free books, ice-cream tokens for the cafe… and lots more. Feel free to bring your own food and snacks too. We’ll have a cosy set up with blankets and pillows, but again if you’d like to bring your own for extra room / comfort, you can.
Even if you can’t stay for some food and a long chat, if you’re interested in what we do then pop over to say hello. There’s nothing we love more than meeting new women and introducing ourselves.
Children and dogs are welcome. This is completely free, just come as you are… and have as much cake as you’d like.
